Here is an e-mail about concepts questions from sections 4,5,6,8, and my responses.  Correction to Section 8: I had written that the statement "Every function on a finite set onto itself must  be 1-1." is false.  I was wrong; I missed the word "onto."  If a function from a finite set to itself is onto, then it is also 1-1; this is the Pigeonhole Principle.
